If you reviewed the Home Buying Process page, you noticed that getting pre-approved for a home mortgage loan is one of the first steps in the home-buying process. Why you might ask? Why not just go look at some homes already?! Believe me when I say I understand; house hunting is much more enjoyable than talking numbers with a mortgage officer. With that said, the pre-approval process is highly important because it establishes your buying power in the Austin market.

A mortgage officer will review your income so they can qualify you for a mortgage. The mortgage is compiled from the principal, interest, taxes and insurance you will pay. It is important to know these numbers so I as your REALTOR® can show you actionable properties in your target budget. It is equally important to get pre-approved, because the lender will need to ultimately approve your loan as we get further into the home buying and closing process.

Given the summary above, below are some lenders that I recommend working with. Check em out and feel free to give me call if you have any questions, or want to chat about house hunting before crunching numbers.
